Stephanie was optimistic about her future. She entered medical school, even though her only income at the time was her student loans. Then an unexpected accident occurred while she was biking to class, she was hit by a car.

Prior to volunteering, Laurel regularly drove her elderly neighbors to our Mobile Food Pantry Program to help them get food. Once her friends passed away, she decided to come back to the distribution to lend a hand.

As the Northland’s only “food bank,” we serve an important role in ensuring that nationally and regionally donated food makes its way quickly to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
