Peggy shared over a recent visit that what she admired most about her lifelong friend Brenda was her sense of humor and her generosity.

The two became friends in junior high in Aurora, became college roommates in Duluth, and shared a connection that spanned decades. Their connection was so strong that when Brenda passed away, Peggy became the executor of her dear friend’s trust. She named our organization in it but Peggy shared that she didn’t know her special connection to our work. Naming us in your will or trust is one of
the simplest planned giving options. These types of gifts are simple to initiate and have lasting impact. Brenda’s was left to us unrestricted meaning she entrusted us to be good stewards of her generous support. We plan to use it to expand our food rescue opportunity for families, children and seniors in our region.

If you’d like to ensure that our region’s future generations grow up healthy — not hungry by including a gift to us in your estate plan, learn more here or contact us today for more information.
