Since 2015, Red Nose Day has been making people laugh while raising money for children in poverty. This May event brings comedians, musicians and other celebrities together to raise funds which have local impact.

Since its start, thanks to our partnership with Feeding America™ and Red Nose Day more than 172,000 weekend bags of food have been provided to children in NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin as part of our BackPack Program.

The next Red Nose Day will be broadcast on NBC in May 2020.  Watch local listings for more information and get involved.

“I need to buy new coats and shoes for my daughters,” shared Tonya.  “But I don’t know how I’ll be able to afford it.”

Like many Northland families, Tonya’s income is stretched to cover home heating, medical care and medicine when winter rolls around.   Although she works full-time at a restaurant, her family still needs help to make ends meet.  “Funds are really short right now,” she shares.

Thankfully, your support allows individuals and families to receive nutritional food through our Food Shelf, Mobile Food Pantry, Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors and BackPack Program not only during winter but all year long.

“We’re just really grateful,” she shares. “And because of this food, I can buy my daughters new shoes and coats this winter.”
