On a snowy day in the Village of Solon Springs, David picks up food for nine friends in his truck. “Most of the people I pick up for are disabled,” he shares. “Sometimes they can’t make it here because they have a job opportunity, so I pick up food for them, so they don’t have to skip out.”

Despite being permanently disabled himself, David says he enjoys helping other people and using the resources he has—a big truck—to deliver food. “Some have limited car use, or no car at all. My truck lets me get food to help them out,” he shares.
