“We just don’t need anything,” shared 91-year-old Irene, one of our generous donors from Superior. “But others do and that’s why we give in honor of one another.”

For years, Irene, her son, and daughter-in-law forgo gifts to one another during birthdays, the holidays, and other special  occasions and instead give gifts in honor of one another. “It’s a way to help others,” she said.

When your gifts are sent to us “in honor of” others, we send a letter to your gift recipient to let them know you honored them and to share the impact your gift will have on others.

For “in memory gifts” we send a letter to close family, friends, or other loved ones.

If you’d like to honor a family, friend, or colleague consider a gift today to feed Northland families, children, and seniors in need. And don’t forget to include your gift recipient’s name and address so we can let them know!
