Mary’s Benefit to Others

Mary’s Benefit to Others

Mary was described as an educated, watercolor artist who enjoyed gardening and “didn’t mince words” according to her friend, neighbor and trustee,  Sharon.  She had lived a simple life in Duluth with her husband and had saved much of what she had earned from her primary work as a bookkeeper.

Sharon visited us recently to let us know that Mary had included us in her will, a gift she hoped would impact others.

“She had a soft spot for people who had endured hardship,” she shared. “She certainly endured her share and planned this gift hoping to help others, especially kids.”

We plan to put Mary’s generous gift to good use expanding our BackPack Program and providing even more food to children in our region.

Ensure that our region’s future generations grow up healthy — not hungry by including a gift to us in your will or estate plan. Contact us today for more information and leave your own legacy to feed our Northland neighbors in need for years to come.
