When Megan pulls up in her white SUV, volunteers at her local food shelf are ready for her with pre-packed boxes boxes of food—for both Megan’s family and seven others.

Every Tuesday, she delivers to people who don’t have a car or can’t leave their home.

“One of the ladies I deliver to has back problems,” she shares. “And grandpa, he’s home by himself.”

Megan’s full-time employment has now returned since the restaurant she works for is fully open. She’s grateful for programs like ours which helped provide food for her family including her 9-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son.

She did share she’s planning to continue to volunteer despite her full schedule. “I just like to help people,” she shares, and “I’m thankful that there was help for me.”
