“You guys do such a great job up there,” shares Neal, whose generous contributions span nearly two decades. “I’m proud to be a little part of it.”

In his early years, Neal and his wife gave traditionally – usually through a check from their own checking account. More recently, he chooses to give through his Individual Retirement Account (IRA), which has additional benefit.

“It’s so much simpler,” Neal shares. “I work with our advisor, choose where I’d like to give, and it automatically excludes my contribution from my taxable income.”

By making a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from his IRA to our organization, Neal satisfies his need to take his required annual minimum distribution. This not only allows him to support worthy causes like ours, but allows him to lower his tax bill.

“You do a fabulous job,” he shares. “We plan to keep giving to support your work.”
