Feeding our neighbors in need requires your support, the contributions of thousands of volunteers and a network of dedicated, regional non-profit partner agencies.

In fact, just last month you helped us distribute over 10,000 pounds of fresh produce and other food to Two Harbors area residents in need as part of our partnership with the Two Harbors Area Food Shelf (THAFS). Their “Community Food Share” event, a pop-up distribution, allowed us to reach families, children and seniors with nutritious food.

“Our guests report their kids ‘just love fruit and vegetables’, but due to cost barriers they’re often the first things cut from their shopping list,” said THAFS Director Michelle Miller. “Access to fresh produce in such large quantities provided by Second Harvest to our food shelf is essential for the health of our community.”

Your support helps us partner with your local food shelf and other programs to feed people right in your own community – from Ely to Moose Lake and Hibbing to Hurley. What results is our distribution of over 4.8 million meals for our neighbors in need throughout NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin – an accomplishment we could not achieve without you!
